The first move for the Hawks this trade season was announced less than thirty minutes before the trade deadline. It involves bringing back an old friend, Shelvin Mack, from Memphis in exchange for second-year player Tyler Dorsey.

Mack is an eleven-year veteran point guard that spent four seasons with Atlanta from 2012-2016. According to the AJC’s Chris Vivlamore, the Hawks will be waiving Mack. Dorsey, a second-round pick in 2017, played in 83 games over the last two seasons in Atlanta but could never find the same scoring touch he had in college. Hopefully, a change in scenery will do well for him.
There are ten minutes until the official trade deadline, but many of these deals will come out well after so stay tuned.
