Sources: Atlanta is promoting its G League College Park GM Tori Miller to a Vice President position with the Hawks; she becomes one of NBA's highest-ranking women in a front office. The agreement was completed by Klutch Sports, marking its first woman basketball executive deal.

It’s a milestone for the NBA as women reach further up NBA organizations. Miller was the first female GM to run a professional basketball team and is likely setting her sights on running her own NBA team. Women are now represented in nearly all areas of the league — medical, front office, coaching staff, and on broadcasts.
Tori Miller got her start as an agent, which she studied for at the University of Miami but made her initial impact serving as a scout for all 30 teams.
“I saw it as a way for me to create my path,” she said. “I sent monthly reports to all 30 teams, the positional rankings of all the guys, and I recommended guys for 10-day contracts.”
A chance run-in with Sam Presti resulted in her introduction to Malik Rose, a former Spurs forward, who provided Miller with a chance to work for the Hawks G League team as an assistant. Rose eventually left, and Miller was promoted. Now, she’s taken the next step.
Congratulations to Tori Miller and her family!
