The Hawks have continued their trend of draft and stashing European prospects in the second round. It saves the team money and the team is starting to build a European farm system of sorts. Marcus Eriksson is a sharpshooter out of Sweden who sat out last season due to a torn ACL. He’s 6’7″ and has shot for a high percentage from beyond the arc in Europe. In the 2012-13 season, he averaged over 50% from 3. It looks like Eriksson may have some potential as a sharpshoooting role player in the NBA. He’s still just 20 years old, and he will stay overseas to build his game:
Both Hawks' second-rounders Eriksson and Agravanis are under contract in Europe and will stay. Future possibilities.
