The Hawks just acquired Dejounte Murray from the Spurs in exchange for multiple first-rounders and Danilo Gallinari. Tony Ressler, Travis Schlenk, and Landry Fields were steadfast in their desire to upgrade the roster, and I’d say they did just that by trading for the first All-Star Trae Young will play with in his career.
However, the blockbuster moves might not be over just yet. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the club is not done dealing and is still engaged in trade discussions surrounding John Collins.
Woj on ESPN just now
“They (Atlanta) are not done dealing yet. They have still been engaged on John Collins.”

The Hawks were able to keep John Collins in the Murray trade, and I’d like to see them run it back with the current squad, but that seems unlikely. The latest rumors suggest Collins is done with Atlanta, and that’s not even considering the organization is currently at the tax threshold with a De’Andre Hunter contract extension looming, and Onyeka Okongwu and Murray will need deals in two years. This is going to be one hell of an offseason for Hawks fans. Get ready!
