After undergoing a non-surgical procedure on his elbow last week, Dewayne Dedmon is right around the corner from returning to action. According to general manager Travis Schlenk, he is set to play on Friday evening:
Travis Schlenk on 92.9 FM: "(Dedmon) got shots up for the first time yesterday, coming back from his elbow injury. We fully expect him to be available Friday."

Dedmon looked comfortable shooting the ball at Monday’s practice. He had a three-point competition with Damian Jones and Bruno Fernando, winning with ease. Most importantly, there were no visual signs of discomfort. At one point, he made eight straight from the corner, and you bet he was quick to let his teammates hear about it.
Good to see this was a minor setback for Dedmon, and that he will be returning to the lineup this weekend. The Hawks are slowly but surely getting back to full health with under 20 games remaining in the regular season.
