The Hawks‘ 121-116 victory over the Knicks was led by No. 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher’s career night, in which he logged 33 points, draining six of his ten shots from behind the arc. He finished the game 11-18 from the field, adding 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.
The 33 points are the most by a rookie this season and nearly doubled Risacher’s previous high of 17 points. Coming into the night, he was shooting 21.1% from 3-point range and 32.9% from the field. He raised those to 29.2% and 37.9%, respectively, in just one game.
More impressively, Zaccharie Risacher joined some elite company with his performance. According to Hawks PR, he became the fourth-youngest player to finish a game with 30+ points and 0 turnovers, behind LaMelo Ball, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James.

According to ESPN Research, Zaccharie Risacher also joined Victor Wembanyama, Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Lamar Odom as the only players to have 30 points and multiple blocks and steals in a game before they turned 20.
The Hawks young core of Trae Young, Jalen Johnson, and Risacher might be worth getting excited about if the young Frenchman can continue to develop. On the season, the No. 1 pick is averaging 12.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
Jalen Johnson also had an impressive outing against the Knicks, chipping in 23 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists. The versatile forward is averaging a career-best across the board of 18.9 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. He’s currently on pace to be the youngest forward in NBA history to average 15/10/5.
Trae Young added another 20-point, 10-assist performance in the Hawks win, tying Steve Nash for the 11th most 20+ points and 10+ assists games in NBA history.
