Jabar Parker missed last night’s loss to the Nuggets with a shoulder injury. Today, the Hawks released a statement on his future:
Atlanta Hawks forward Jabari Parker underwent a non-surgical procedure on his right shoulder earlier today at the Emory Sports Medical Complex. Parker will enter a period of rehabilitation and treatment, and will be re-examined in two weeks.Â
Jabari Parker hasn’t been himself since his blazing hot start to the season. He’s back down to earth, averaging about 15/6/2 for the year. Following his 33 point outburst against his old Milwaukee squad on November 27th, he was averaging 17.8 PPG and 6.6 RPG, while playing about 28 minutes per night. Parker’s only broken 20 points twice since then, but the injury can be attributed to some of that. We’ll see if we will get the Jabari that started the season back around February. Heavens knows it would be nice to see this squad at full strength at least a few times before the season ends.
