Jabari Parker’s shoulder injury was re-evaluated yesterday at the Hawks team facility, and it looks like he is slowly nearing a return. He has been cleared to move forward in his rehab, “which includes controlled movement and gradual reloading of his rotator cuff,” but he is still at least a couple of weeks away from returning to the court.

Parker has been a valuable piece to the Hawks this year, but it’s been unfortunate that he and John Collins have not been able to share the floor often. The former #2 overall pick is averaging 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds on over 50% shooting from the field in 26.2 minutes per game. Hopefully, he can return to the floor quickly, but there’s a chance we’ve seen the last of him as a Hawk. Of all the pieces Atlanta could be looking to shop before February 6th’s trade deadline, Parker is probably the most coveted of the bunch.
