Yesterday’s Hawks game was a thrill for a couple of reasons. Not only did they escape with a one-point win against a feisty Wizards team, but De’Andre Hunter returned for his first game since late March. Obviously, he was on a minutes restriction and only played a little over a quarter, but he looked comfortable, and most importantly, didn’t suffer any setbacks. Hunter said afterward that he felt completely fine, and today, Nate McMillan told the media that there was no swelling in the knee.

Still, the Hawks will take things cautiously with him, and since they are scheduled to play a back-to-back on Wednesday and Thursday, they are giving Hunter the night off tomorrow for rest.

Given that there was no swelling this morning, I don’t imagine there are any issues. This is probably what the doctors feel is best for Hunter to avoid any more problems. We will keep you updated, but the plan for him is to play again on Thursday against the Magic.
