Owners of the No. 1 overall pick, the Hawks finally have options when they haven’t had a ton in past offseasons.
Atlanta can trade Dejounte Murray and/or Trae Young. They also have several other moveable pieces in Jalen Johnson, Clint Capela, De’Andre Hunter, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Onyeka Okongwu, and the #1 overall pick.
Obviously, the Hawks shouldn’t trade all of those guys, but the point remains — they have options. With the top pick, it seems the consensus is Alex Sarr; however, that hasn’t stopped people from betting on Bronny James to go first.
LeBron James‘ oldest son is the most bet on prospect to go No. 1, representing the biggest liability on BetMGM’s book, despite his odds remaining at 200-1.
Bronny James (200-1) has the MOST BETS (22.5%) to go No. 1 overall in the 2024 NBA draft at @BetMGM sportsbooks.

Most of the money is on Alex Sarr, so don’t be confused. James has more tickets, but not as much money as the 7-foot Frenchman.
I’m not sure why people make these kinds of donations to casinos. Bronny James is closer to never stepping foot on an NBA court than being the No. 1 overall pick. He averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 36.6% from the floor. He is an undersized guard with no clear role at the next level .
Bronny James wouldn’t be getting a lick of TV time as a draft prospect if he wasn’t the son of LeBron James. The GOAT of our generation has made it known that he wants to play with his son to end his career. I’m not sure he’ll truly ever leave Los Angeles, but it’s surely worth a second-round pick for some clubs to try.
Hell, it might even be worth it for the Hawks, who would never have a chance to land a star like Lebron James without some collateral. However, there’s a zero percent chance Bronny James is taken first overall, whether Atlanta is making the selection or someone else.
