Gunner Stockton’s 2025 Heisman odds a sign of respect

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: JAN 02 CFP Quarterfinal Allstate Sugar Bowl Notre Dame vs Georgia

With the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff in the books following Ohio State’s triumph over Notre Dame last night, the entire college football world can turn its attention to the 2025 season. Win totals have already been released for many teams, and the 2025 Heisman Trophy odds are also available on FanDuel, with Gunner Stockton receiving some early respect after his performance against Notre Dame.

2025 Heisman Trophy Odds

  • Garrett Nussmeier +900
  • Arch Manning +950
  • Nico Iamaleava +1100
  • Carson Beck +1800
  • LaNorris Sellers +2000
  • John Mateer +2500
  • DJ Lagway +2500
  • Austin Simmons +3000
  • Gunner Stockton +3300
  • Ryan Williams +3500
  • Marcel Reed +4000
  • Jackson Arnold +4500
  • Ty Simpson +5000
  • Beau Pribula +9500

There will surely be some shakeup in these as the season inches closer, as well as some guys added, but Gunner Stockton’s performance against Notre Dame raised a lot of eyebrows. The Fighting Irish’s defense was one of the best in the country, and Stockton was able to limit his mistakes while pushing the ball downfield early and often.

There are undoubtedly some plays he’d like to have back, but with a better offensive line and some improved weapons, Stockton has the potential to put up some crazy numbers in his first full season as Georgia’s starting quarterback.

Another name that should pop to the Bulldogs faithful is Carson Beck at +1800. A two-year starter at Georgia, he received the highest NIL deal ever to leave for Miami, where he is set up for success. Depending on how he recovers from his torn UCL, a weak ACC schedule presents an opportunity for a record-breaking season, following in the footsteps of Cam Ward. It’s hard to argue with Beck’s decision to leave, all things considered, but it’s possible both he and Georgia are better off next year with Gunner Stockton leading the Bulldogs against one of the most difficult schedules in the country.
