Per NBA insider Shams Charania, Giannis Antetokounmpo will not suit the Bucks tonight against the Hawks for Game 5. After hyperextending his left knee during game 4, this should not come as a shock to anyone, but there was some noise suggesting Giannis could play.

Needless to say, this is a massive swing in the Hawks’ favor. But as their performance in game 4 showed, it’s still tough to win in the playoffs even if the other team’s best player is out. We’ll see if the Bucks add anyone to their lineup whose yet to appear in this series or if they simply amp up the minutes for the players currently in the rotation.
The Hawks will need to bring their A-game tonight to take the series lead, and all eyes will now be on the status of Trae Young, who is still listed as questionable for tonight’s game. Tipoff is at 8:30.
