The coming days are going to be very interesting for the Georgia Bulldogs, with many key pieces hitting the transfer portal but also several new faces joining the team. Among those that are set to depart is EDGE defender Damon Wilson, who just announced he plans to enter the transfer portal via Hayes Fawcett of ON3.

Damon Wilson was a five-star recruit in the 2025 class. He appeared in all 14 games for the Bulldogs this season, racking up 22 total tackles, six of which went for loss, and three sacks.
This is a massive loss for a Bulldogs team that is already thin across the defensive front, with Mykel Williams and Jalon Walker declaring for the NFL Draft. Wilson appeared to be in line for a huge role in 2025, but instead, will be playing elsewhere. The defensive front has been a strong suit for the Bulldogs during Kirby Smart’s tenure. For that to continue, Georgia will need to bring in some new faces via the transfer portal.
