Bo Walker is an incoming freshman for the Georgia football team who signed as a member of the Class of 2025 and enrolled early. The signing didn’t have as much fanfare as running back signings in the past, like Isiah Crowell, Todd Gurley, Keith Marshall, Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, D’Andre Swift, Zamir White, or James Cook. No, the signing of Bo Walker went under the radar.
That is primarily due to the excitement about sophomore Nate Frazier heading into this season and taking on a more prominent role. The level of excitement and anticipation surrounding Walker may all change very soon. Various Georgia outlets are reporting strong practice performances for the Ellenwood, Georgia, native through the early parts of Georgia’s spring allotment. It’s time that Georgia Bulldogs fans get to know Bo.
Walker made a splash as a freshman for powerhouse Georgia High School football program Cedar Grove. As a 9th grader, he racked up over 600 all-purpose yards for the State Champion Saints. Then his career really took off. As a junior, Walker led Cedar Grove to another State Championship, and I do mean led! Walker put up a staggering 2,001 rushing yards and 30 rushing touchdowns on 250 carries. Walker then transferred to Rabun Gap School for his senior season and signed with the Dawgs in December of 2024.
Kirby Smart was complimentary of his young tailback in a recent press conference. “Bo is doing a great job,” Smart said. “Bo’s very bright. He’s had some really good runs. He’s had some mistakes. And what I like about Bo is he’s very teachable. He’s very coachable. And he’s got natural rush instincts.”
With Roderick Robinson and Branson Robinson‘s injury concerns, and Chauncey Bowens and Dwight Phillips’ limited experience in front of Walker, it is not inconceivable that Bo could be a name that the Sanford Stadium faithful hear early and often in the 2025 season. Standing 5’10” and weighing in at 220 pounds, Walker possesses the physicality, the short area quickness, and the vision to help the Georgia run game early in his career.
