Today at 3:00 PM EST, the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis will feature defensive linemen and linebackers showcasing their talents. The University of Georgia continues its tradition of producing top-tier defensive talent, with several Bulldogs set to participate.
Defensive Linemen
-
Warren Brinson: A four-star recruit out of IMG Academy, Brinson proved throughout his tenure at Georgia to be a consistent force on the defensive line. He accumulated 71 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, and six sacks during his career for the Dawgs.
-
Nazir Stackhouse: Known for his strength and durability, Stackhouse came to Georgia as an in-state product and four-star recruit from Columbia High School in Decatur. He recorded 90 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, three sacks, and one glorious big-man interception against Missouri during his career.
-
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins: Ingram-Dawkins always stood out athletically. The former four-star recruit from Gaffney, South Carolina battled injuries early in his Georgia career but became a stalwart on the Georgia defensive front. TID had 39 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, and four sacks in Athens. Ingram-Dawkins could have returned to Georgia, but the draft grades and scout feedback he received were too enticing to pass up going into the NFL Draft. With a good workout, he could be a player that sees his stock skyrocket in Indy.
Linebacker
- Smael Mondon Jr.: Mondon Jr. was a quiet but explosive five-star recruit from Paulding County in Georgia and contributed right away in Athens. Injuries limited his performance throughout his career, but Mondon Jr. was a difference-maker for Kirby Smart‘s defense when he was in the lineup, racking up 212 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, and eight sacks during his time as a Dawg. Mondon’s natural athleticism and defensive knowledge could lead to him being a high-second to late-first-round pick in the draft.

Notably, projected first-round picks Jalon Walker and Mykel Williams will not participate in today’s workouts due to lingering injuries that affected their performances throughout the season. Williams, in particular, has been managing a significant ankle injury, but his resilience this past season garnered respect from NFL teams.
Georgia players have always grabbed the attention of NFL scouts at the combine. Today should be no different, as Sunday football will soon have even more Dawgs patrolling the front seven for teams vying for the Super Bowl.
