With New England now eliminated following Saturday night’s loss to the Titans, the Falcons 2020 draft picks are set in stone. Atlanta also received a little help from the Saints yesterday, as their second-round pick moved up another spot after their loss. Here’s the full list:
Round 1, Pick 16
Round 2, Pick 47
Round 2, Pick 55 (From New England)
Round 3, Pick 78
Round 4, Pick 109
Round 5, Pick 140
Round 7, Pick 206
A lot of Falcons fans probably wish the team was picking a lot higher, considering Atlanta was eliminated from playoff contention by Thanksgiving and started the year 1-7. However, you cannot take for granted the momentum the Falcons have going into 2020 after finishing the season 6-2. This talented bunch needed to believe they could win big games again – much more than they needed a top draft pick. If Thomas Dimitroff can nail this 2020 class, the Falcons should have no problem becoming contenders again next season.
