The Braves’ opening homestand has been labeled “Champions Week,” which included the game today that celebrated Georgia’s National Championship.
Jordan Davis, a projected first-rounder, threw out the opening pitch. He famously revealed a Braves jersey underneath his CFP windbreaker at the Bulldogs National Championship celebration in Sanford Stadium.
“This is something that nobody can take away from us,” Davis said then. “We’re forever legendary. So to all of Dawgnation, we love you. Go Braves and Go Dawgs!” Thus prompting a Braves’ tomahawk chop among those in the crowd.
Davis also met with Chip Caray and Jeff Francoeur in the booth, where he told the pair of broadcasters that he’d love to stay home when they asked about the Falcons’ pre-draft meetings.
Former Georgia DT Jordan Davis, who's attending the Braves' game, on whether he has spoken with the Falcons in pre-draft meetings: "I can’t give out all the secrets but we talked a couple of times. I’d love to stay home. I have a preference but you can’t make everything happen."

Famously, Davis put everyone on notice at 341 pounds with a 4.78-second time in the 40-yard dash, 32-inch vertical leap, and a 10-foot-3 broad jump at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. He’s a certified freak of nature, which Caray and Francoeur humorously pointed out in the booth. However, I don’t see the mountain of a man being in play for the Falcons’ first-round pick unless they trade back.
