Taylor Heinicke has officially been named the starting quarterback for the Falcons Week 9 tilt against the Vikings. Arthur Smith didn’t want to commit to anything past that, but one can expect the veteran to keep starting if the team can win at home against Minnesota, who will be without Kirk Cousins.
Falcons fans got a glimpse of what Heinicke brings to the table in the second half against the Titans after he relieved Desmond Ridder, and understandably, there is some excitement heading into Week 9. However, to get a better understanding of what to expect from the Falcons new starting QB, we interviewed former Falcons wide receiver Slade Bolden, who spent a lot of time with Heinicke throughout training camp and the preseason.
