Training camp is in full swing across the NFL, and I’ll continue to reiterate that the most important thing during this period is getting to the first week of the season with as few injuries as possible — particularly to teams’ star players. The Titans are getting their first taste of just this as the recently acquired Julio Jones missed his second straight practice yesterday and will be limited throughout the rest of camp — most likely precautionary.
Vrabel says #Titans will be cautious with Julio Jones, who missed second straight practice. Sounds like he'll be monitored/limited throughout the rest of camp.

This isn’t some clickbait article to make Falcons fans feel better about the trade. I am simply intrigued by how each team — Tennessee and Atlanta — will be affected by the trade. The Titans are surely a Super Bowl contender with such a weak division, and the Falcons’ bar is still unknown. Jones moves the needle for any team in the league, but if he isn’t available, Terry Fontenot will look like a genius — even if he didn’t want to trade the All-Pro receiver in the first place.
Still, Jones has dealt with injuries the past few seasons and performed like the best wideout in the NFL. The Titans don’t need him every single week to make a push in the playoffs. The AFC South is the weakest division in football, which gives Tennessee an easy road to the postseason with or without Jones. The Titans’ offense only needs him to be healthy for the final quarter of the season and the playoffs, so this will be a situation to monitor all season long. Also, most teams don’t make veterans practice nearly as much as younger players, so this isn’t unusual by any means.
