Former Falcons first-round pick Keanu Neal is signing a deal with one of Atlanta’s division rivals, according to Ian Rapoport.
The #Bucs are adding another premium defender, signing former #Cowboys S Keanu Neal, source said. After moving to LB in #Cowboys DC Dan Quinn’s system, Neal is back at safety and now with new coach Todd Bowles in Tampa with a deal done by @SPORTSTARSNYC.

Neal played in Atlanta for five seasons after being drafted 17th overall in 2016 but moved to more of a linebacker-hybrid role last season when he reunited with Dan Quinn in Dallas. In 14 appearances for the Cowboys, Neal totaled 72 tackles and one sack.
Quinn seemingly wanted to deploy Neal more so as a weak-side linebacker, rather the strong safety position he played in Atlanta. However, he’s expected to move back to the secondary in Tampa Bay. He’ll join veteran Logan Ryan and Antoine Winfield Jr. in the Bucs’ secondary and will effectively replace Jordan Whitehead, who left in free agency.
