Shane Greene has been designated for assignment by the Dodgers, ending a short tenure with them.
#Dodgers have designated RHP Shane Greene for assignment.

After enduring a brutal stretch in Atlanta last season, Greene was eventually released by the Braves. The Dodgers picked him up, but he’s only pitched 8 innings for them in ‘21 and ‘22 and given up three runs. The 33-year-old should still have something left in the tank, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets another chance somewhere else.
Injuries have decimated the Braves bullpen, and they might even be able to give Greene another shot while guys like Luke Jackson, Jay Jackson, Kirby Yates, and Tyler Matzek battle back. Whether he gets a look in Atlanta or elsewhere, I wish Shane Greene the best of luck. He was a crucial part of the Braves bullpen in both 2019 and 2020.
