One of the critical pickups at the 2018 trade deadline from the Orioles, Darren O’Day had some solid moments with the Braves, but injuries limited his overall impact. Following the 2020 season, O’Day signed with the Yankees as the Braves won the World Series. At 39 years old, O’Day returned to the Braves in 2022. Now, he’s calling it a career:

O’Day had a very impressive 15-year career, and although he wasn’t part of the squad that won the World Series, I mostly have good memories. He had a rough 2022, but he was still a guy who seemed to be well liked around the clubhouse and brought a veteran presence to the squad. An All Star in 2015, O’Day had some pretty stellar seasons, especially in Baltimore. Congrats on retirement, Darren.
