Former Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner was arrested on Nov. 30 and is facing child abandonment charges, according to reports obtained by WSBTV.
Turner has since been released from Gwinnett County Jail, but this isn’t the first time he’s recently been in trouble with the law. He was arrested in July on failure to pay child support charges.
It’s a shame that Turner is seemingly struggling with his personal life, and we wish him and the others involved in the case the best.
He spent only four seasons with the Falcons but accumulated enough yards on the ground to be second on Atlanta’s all-time rushing list, behind only Gerald Riggs.
Michael Turner spent 2008-12 in Atlanta, posting over 6,000 rushing yards and 60 touchdowns, which is a franchise record. In 75 games. Turner had 60 scores… that’s an unbelievable rate. Unfortunately, all of that is a moot point with his arrest in the news.
