The Braves currently have seven key pitchers on the IL. Some of them will return, and others won’t, but one thing has remained consistent, the organization is taking their sweet time getting them back to the field.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it’s the right way to go about it. The Braves have a double digit lead in the division. Nobody is catching them in the NL East, and they will almost assuredly earn a first-round bye. The top priority is making sure everyone is ready for October, and a few guys appear to be nearing a return.
Max Fried will make his fourth rehab start tonight. Assuming everything goes well, he will be back next week. A.J. Minter‘s rehab start also began yesterday. He did give up a couple of hits but no runs. The hard-throwing lefty could be back around the same time.
Finally, Dylan Lee threw a bullpen yesterday in Boston with the team, which Brian Snitker said went well.
Dylan Lee's bullpen went well, Brian Snitker said. He threw all his pitches. He was able to throw during the breaks in the rain.

Jesse Chavez is still a while away from returning. Kyle Wright is in the same boat, and the earliest Nick Anderson can return is the middle of September. It isn’t a perfect situation, but it does look like at least three key pieces of the Braves pitching staff will return in August.
