Trae Young returned to the Hawks‘ starting lineup last night for the first time in six weeks to play the Hornets, but this has nothing to do with Atlanta’s 114-115 loss to Charlotte.
With the Knicks locked into the third seed in the Eastern Conference ahead of the NBA Playoffs and the Yankees owning an AL-leading 10 wins, New York cannot get Trae Young off their minds.
Young hasn’t played a basketball game in more than a month. The Hawks are barely keeping their heads above water ahead of the NBA playoffs, but New York fans couldn’t help but start ‘F*ck Trae Young’ chants at Yankee Stadium against the lowly Miami Marlins.

This beef dates back to the 2021 playoffs when Trae Young put on a show at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks had finally made it back to the postseason, the first time since 2013, and New York was buzzing, but Young came to town and ripped their hearts out.
In his first playoff series, Young averaged over 29 points and nearly 10 assists in five games, including three 30+ point performances in New York, capping it off with a 36-point Game 5 and a bow on MSG’s center court.
20,000+ Knicks fans went silent and have hated Trae Young ever since. That hate has affected them in ways they can’t even comprehend.
Life is good. The Knicks are riding one of the best regular seasons in recent memory. The Yankees have Juan Soto with World Series aspirations, but can’t remain happy for too long.
‘F*uck Trae Young’ chants should be seen as a compliment. They don’t boo nobodies.
