The Atlanta Falcons are completing their due diligence on the quarterback class of the 2023 NFL draft. According to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, the club is hosting Anthony Richardson on a top-30 visit.
Anthony Richardson has top-30 visits in April scheduled with Panthers (pick #1), Colts (4), Raiders (7), Falcons (8) and Titans (11), per sources.
Richardson is in Gainesville this week ahead of his Florida pro day Thursday, final of top QB prospects to make their pro day mark.

The Falcons and every other NFL team are allowed to invite up to 30 different prospects to come to the facility for what is essentially a job interview.
Those players go through meetings with coaches and front office personnel for the team to learn as much as they possibly can about each prospect. Sometimes teams love a player and want to know what makes them tick; intangibles are critical. Other times, teams want to get answers for off-the-field concerns. The correlation between top 30 visits and a team drafting said player varies, but it’s notable.
Anthony Richardson is one of the top quarterback prospects entering the NFL, and the Falcons would be fools not to research a prospect with MVP physical potential. He ran a 4.43 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, the fourth fastest by a quarterback since 2000, but he did it at 6-foot-4, 244.
Richardson is one of the craziest physical specimens we have seen enter the draft. He’s about as explosive as any quarterback, with his arm and legs. He can outrun an entire defense, and nine of his 40 passing touchdowns traveled more than 40 yards, including four of 70 or more yards.
There are facets of Richardson’s game that need refining, but his potential is off the charts. He has legitimate MVP capabilities if he can develop in the right situation. I’m eager to see what he can do in the league and if it’s with the Falcons, sign me up.
