The Falcons have had the health advantage in most of their games this season, and another stroke of luck has fallen on Atlanta.
The Raiders have traded Davante Adams to the Jets, so the Falcons will face them in Week 15 without their star wide receiver. It’ll be a Monday Night Football contest in Las Vegas, and one that the Falcons have no excuse not to win, even if it is two months away.
Antonio Pierce has been set up for failure, and it starts at the quarterback position. Aidon O’Connell and Gardner Minshew are a hilarious combination of signal callers. Their record reflects such.
They’re 2-4, with one of those wins coming against the Deshaun Watson-led Browns. Cleveland’s quarterback was actively trying to lose that game, but then again, Las Vegas upset the Baltimore Ravens, who look like the class of the AFC.
Suffice to say, things are crumbling in Vegas. The Raiders are in line for a top 5 draft pick, and the Falcons will be drawing them at the end of the season when they need to be playing their best ball.
Of course, this is the NFL. “Any given Sunday” is a saying for a reason. The Falcons haven’t exactly shown up in those instances; however, they’re coming off a Sunday in which they were expected to beat the Panthers, and they did.
Atlanta topped Carolina with a season-high 38 points en route to their third straight victory, all of which have come against division rivals. Hopefully, by the time the Falcons travel west to Vegas, they’ll have locked up the NFC South and will look to just fine tune some things against the Raiders.
