The biggest talking point of the week for the Falcons surrounded Kyle Pitts’ hamstring injury.
Raheem Morris told Atlanta media earlier in the week that Pitts was limited in practice with the soft tissue injury, which sent fans into a frenzy, and rightfully so. Pitts has dealt with a plethora of injury issues early in his career, and hamstrings are tricky, notorious for flaring up throughout the season.
He’s such an important piece of the offense, a player that Kirk Cousins called the best player on the team. So, yeah, it was fair for fans to overreact. Morris did add that he wasn’t worried, to which Pitts echoed.
When the fan reaction didn’t stop, the Falcons tight end took to Twitter for some playful banter with fans. It seems Pitts was correct because he was a full go on Thursday, according to the practice report.
Pitts was limited in practice Wednesday and and full on Thursday with a hamstring injury, according to the injury report. He told reporters he’d be 100% on Sunday. (Antonio Hamilton Sr (groin) was limited. Nate Landman (quad) was also limited. https://t.co/ivNK96P8h7

This Falcons fan base is anxious and used to being hurt, so forgive them (us) for overreacting to things like a hamstring injury to Kyle Pitts. Thankfully, it seems it was all for not.
Pitts being 100% is critical to Atlanta’s chances of starting the Raheem Morris era 1-0 with a win over the Steelers and their former head coach. The Falcons 4th overall pick from 2021 is expected to have a breakout campaign after dealing with injuries and poor quarterback play.
