In the biggest wide receiver news from yesterday (jokes), the Falcons announced the signing of former Titans and Vikings wide receiver, Tajae Sharpe.
The #Falcons signed WR Tajae Sharpe.

Arthur Smith is obviously familiar with Sharpe from his days in Tennessee, where Sharpe spent the first three years of his career. His rookie campaign was his most productive, appearing in all 16 games (starting in 10) and catching 41 balls for 522 yards and two touchdowns. In the two seasons after that, he combined for 645 yards and six touchdowns on 51 receptions.
Prior to the 2020 season, Sharpe signed a one-year deal with the Vikings. However, he didn’t see the field much and only played in four games, failing to record a single catch. In December, he was waived by Minnesota and became a free-agent. Even with it now looking more and more likely that Julio Jones will not be playing for the Falcons in 2021, Sharpe will have a tough time making the roster. There are many more capable bodies in the receiving room behind Jones, but adding depth at the position with his departure seeming imminent is a wise decision.
