The Falcons are still working the phones and adding depth to the roster. Their latest acquisition is former Saints offensive lineman Ethan Greenidge to provide competition behind the starters. His representation announced the deal on Twitter Monday morning.

The 25-year-old hasn’t appeared in a regular season game since 2020 but did play in 15 games for the Saints that season. He’s logged snaps at every position along the offensive line except for center, so the versatility is clearly something the Falcons value. Greenidge will have a chance to push for a roster spot as a reserve player and will make a serious case because of that positional versatility.
The connection to Terry Fontenot is obvious. Atlanta has become a destination for former residents of New Orleans. David Onyemata and Kaden Elliss are the two that come to mind first, but the Falcons GM will likely add more former Saints as the years go on.
We’ll see if Greenidge sticks. Welcome to Atlanta!
