The Falcons have made another depth signing at a position of need.
We have signed TE Ryan Becker.

Becker was an Undrafted Free Agent with the Arizona Cardinals last season and did not appear in any games. He was fairly productive in college at SMU, specializing as a blocker. He recently worked out at their last pro day and apparently caught the eye of the Falcons. With Jaeden Graham, Lee Smith, and Hayden Hurst on the roster — it makes sense Arthur Smith wanted another tight end. Becker will get his shot to compete, but if the Falcons spend a high pick on a tight end in the 2021 draft, his stay may be short lived. From his 2019 interview with the Dallas Morning News:
In his four years with SMU, he made 16 catches. But his physicality and willingness to be a team-first player is what made the Arizona Cardinals want to sign him to an undrafted free agent contract in the hours after the draft ended. Even though Becker didn’t have a ton of highlight reel catches, and even though SMU’s pro day was wiped out by the coronavirus crisis, he still worked his way into an opportunity. “It’s crazy and unbelievable….It’s a huge weight lifted off your shoulders,” Becker said. “Like I’ve always told people, all I need is my chance. I just needed a chance. And to finally get that chance and to know that I will put on pads again is a great feeling.”
