For as long as I can remember, the Falcons’ long snapper has been Josh Harris, who was selected to the Pro Bowl last season and most recently signed a lucrative contract (by a long snapper’s standard) with the Chargers.
Now, there will be a new man for the job. On Monday, the team announced they’re signing Beau Brinkley, who had been with the Titans since 2012 but spent time with the Lions, Cardinals, and Chargers on their respective practice squads before being cut in March by the Bears.

Atlanta replaces a Pro Bowler in Harris with a former All-Pro in Brinkley — a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro. After Brinkley had a few miscues, Tennessee cut ties with him, but he has a real shot to be the Falcons’ long snapper for the entire 2022 season, attempting to fill the enormous shoes left behind by Harris.
