Lost in all of the Todd Gurley news, the Falcons are bringing back some secondary depth.
Falcons also bringing back safety Sharrod Neasman on a one-year deal, source tells me. Two early morning moves with Todd Gurley and Neasman.

Neasman is a big piece on special teams for the Falcons, and will also likely serve as the 4th safety behind Keanu Neal, Ricardo Allen, and Damontae Kazee. He was undrafted out of Florida Atlantic in 2016 but there’s a reason he’s hung around the league – he flies all over the field on kickoffs and punts. Considering how thin this team is in the secondary, this is also a solid depth move, especially on just a 1-year deal.
Atlanta can’t afford to miss on hardly any of their draft picks, so drafting a career special teamer in the late rounds is not an option. This small move solidifies the often overlooked unit as the Falcons look to bounce back in 2020.
