The Falcons finished the season on a high note, beating the Buccaneers (backups and all) in the season finale. Desmond Ridder, Drake London, and Tyler Allgeier all looked phenomenal to end the year, heading into the 2023 campaign with some momentum. And just one day following that victory, the team is already shaking up the front office. Adam Schefter reported this morning that Greg Beadles will supplant Rich McKay as Falcons President.
Falcons named Greg Beadles, who has been with the team for 28 years, their new president. Rich McKay will remain as CEO of the Falcons, with oversight of football operations and add CEO duties for AMBSE, parent company of the Falcons, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, MLS Atlanta United.

McKay has been the CEO and President of the Falcons for a decade, and honestly, I thought he’d been totally removed from the organization after reading the beginning of Schefter’s tweet. Falcons fans aren’t that lucky, though. McKay’s fingerprints are all over this franchise, and the Falcons haven’t sported a record over .500 since 2017. Still, this isn’t about McKay; it’s about Beadles.
This man has been in the Falcons organization for more than 25 years, which is an absolutely wild tidbit, and had been the CEO since March of last year. He began as an intern and even established the official team website and store. Beadles apparently filled and mailed online orders personally with his wife. Essentially, this guy bleeds for the Falcons. It’s a remarkable story that is told in more detail by Scott Bair. Congratulations to Greg Beadles; hopefully, he steers the organization toward a Super Bowl.
