The Falcons are likely done making big moves this free agency period. Now, it is time to prioritize needs for the NFL Draft and fill out the roster with depth pieces. They did exactly that by bringing back a former player on Monday in LaRay Reynolds.
Reynolds, an undrafted linebacker back in 2013, has had a seven-year career that has included stops in Jacksonville, Chicago, Philadephia, San Francisco, and most recently, Cincinnati. He had a two-year stint with Atlanta in 2016 and 2017, including his career-best season during Atlanta’s Super Bowl run in which he made three starts. Throughout his career, he has just 105 tackles and been primarily used on special teams.
Not a sexy signing by any means, but Reynolds will provide familiarity, depth at linebacker, and a special teams presence for Atlanta. Welcome back, LaRoy!
