It is a sad day, but it is inevitable. Julio Jones is close to joining a new team. Dianna Russini and Adam Schefter just reported that a deal between the Titans and Falcons is close; they are just working out some minor details.
Falcons and Titans still are discussing whether the package for Julio Jones will be a second- and a fifth-round pick, or a second-round pick with a swap of other picks, per sources. But the belief is the agreement will get done. https://t.co/1beR7C7VJi

A second-round pick isn’t exactly a king’s ransom, but if the Titans take on 100% of Julio Jones’ contract, it will at least relieve some headache. This situation turned into a mess quickly, and while I’ll never say it was a good thing to move arguably the best receiver of all-time, things will be easier for the organization when this is over.
