After another humiliating playoff loss in which the New Orleans Saints choked away a winnable game, it looks like one of their top executives is wisely headed for a team with a future.
Saints also expected to lose their director of pro scouting, Terry Fontenot, who is expected to be the Falcons’ new general manager, per sources. The two sides still need to work out a deal, but Fontenot is expected to be bound for Atlanta. https://t.co/0AC7fikS4W

I’m sure Fontenot was nauseous watching Drew Brees launch three picks while completing 18 of 30 passes for only 160 yards. The final straw was surely the most overrated wideout in football, not recording a single catch in a playoff game. Michael Thomas was only four catches and 36 yards shy of his playoff career-best.
Props to Fontenot; he knows a sinking ship when he sees one — even before this game. I listed some of Fontenot’s pros and cons here, but it will be nice to have everyone in the building to start formulating a draft strategy.
