Following the Falcons win over the Panthers, the club made a roster move, releasing veteran running back Godwin Igwebuike.

Igwebuike’s elevation from the practice squad was due to Cordarrelle Patterson‘s thigh injury that kept him out of Sunday’s contest.
He last played in the NFL for the Seahawks last year, appearing in five games and 28 across his career since 2018. Igwebuike signed with the Falcons back in July and then landed on the practice squad when Atlanta announced its initial 53-man roster.
More than likely, he’ll revert to the practice squad and could potentially be elevated again this week if Patterson misses another week.
