The hits keep on coming as the Falcons continue to trim down the roster until they get to 53 players. Atlanta has already parted ways with multiple draft selections from the new regime’s tenure, and now, they’re releasing a fan favorite in Qadree Ollison.
Atlanta Falcons cutting Qadree Ollison, per a league source. Likely to get calls from other teams Former fifth-round draft pick led Falcons in rushing touchdowns as a rookie

Ollison has been cut and re-signed multiple times, but it seems the Falcons will only carry four-ish running backs — Codarrelle Patterson, Damien Williams, Tyler Allgeier, and a new player to the position in Avery Williams. Ollison recorded four touchdowns his rookie year, but his role has slowly diminished each season since then. As Aaron Wilson points out, Ollison is undoubtedly a practice squad candidate. Caleb Huntley was also released earlier today, and both should be options for other teams in need of running backs.
