It feels weird to say it, but Matt Ryan is now the quarterback for a team other than the Falcons. After trading Ryan to the Indianapolis Colts for the draft pick that turned into DeAngelo Malone, the Falcons have begun to move forward.
All Falcons fans would agree that Matt Ryan is an upstanding man and a skilled quarterback; it’s not much of a surprise to learn that the 2016 MVP is making his mark on the Colts organization this quickly. Future Hall of Fame wide receiver Reggie Wayne had an interesting comparison for Ryan:

He compared Matt Ryan to Peyton Manning, who won a Super Bowl with the Colts in 2007. Manning’s name isn’t tossed around lightly in Indianapolis — he was legendary with the Colts. Hopefully, Ryan can be like Peyton in another way and win a Super Bowl in his late 30s.Â
Overall, Ryan looks like a perfect fit in Indy; he has a tremendous offensive line, reliable receiving core, and a fearsome defense to back him up. He’s set up for success; hopefully, he will lead Indy back to the promised land.Â
