Falcons place Marlon Davidson on COVID-19 reserve list

The Falcons placed Marlon Davidson on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday, the team announced. It is unclear of his status, though. Davidson missed Sunday’s matchup against the 49ers due to a non-COVID illness. Arthur Smith said on Monday that he wanted to play, but Davidson wasn’t able to strap it up.

Davidson can make it back for Sunday’s game against the Lions if he tests negative twice. Per league protocols, a fully vaccinated player or staff member can be released from quarantine if they’ve been asymptomatic for a full day while also testing negative twice.

Among other injury news, Deion Jones returned to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday with an illness; Avery Williams was added to the report with a groin injury, and Tyeler Davison remained out with an illness. But most notable was Chris Lindstrom‘s absence from Wednesday’s practice because of a personal reason. From the SportsTalkATL family, we offer our condolences to the entire Lindstrom family during this difficult time.
