Ahead of the first week of the NFL preseason, an old Falcons friend is signing a new deal with the Ravens. Per Ari Meirov, Russell Gage is joining Baltimore.

The Buccaneers declined their team option on Russell Gage for the 2024 season, resulting in the former sixth-round pick becoming a free agent. The LSU product signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Bucs back in 2022.
It was a good signing at the time as Gage had amassed 138 catches for 1,556 yards and eight touchdowns over his previous two seasons with the Falcons. Injuries unfortunately hampered his production in Tampa.
A hamstring injury lingered in his first year, limiting him to just 51 catches, 426 yards and five scores. Injuries would continue to affect him. Gage tore his patellar tendon during training camp this past year, relegating him to the injured reserve and forcing him to miss the entire season.
With the Ravens, Gage actually has a good chance of making the roster. The former Falcons standout will be competing for a spot behind Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Nelson Agholor, Tylan Wallace, and Devontez Walker.
