The Falcons have parted ways with receiver Bryan Edwards after trading a 2023 fifth-round pick to the Raiders. The Falcons got a 2023 seventh-round pick in exchange, but they did not get a return on their investment:
#Falcons WR Bryan Edwards is being placed on waivers, source said, a potential late-season addition for a WR-needy team.

Edwards didn’t have a good run in Atlanta. He was a healthy scratch many times, and the 2020 third-round pick only came up with three catches for 15 yards as a Falcon. After racking up 571 yards in 2021, he looked to be a competitor for a role in a very thin wide receiver room in Atlanta. Instead, Edwards will be looking for a new team. Atlanta hasn’t thrown the ball much this season, but Edwards still only saw 89 total snaps — 35 of those coming in Week 1. This is undoubtedly a big fat F grade for Terry Fontenot and company, but that’s the nature of the NFL.
