With Kirk Cousins coming to Atlanta, the new Falcons quarterback is taking advantage of all the state has to offer.
Just last week, Cousins and his wife, Julie, who is an Atlanta-area native, took in one of the greatest spectacles in all of sports — The Masters. At Augusta National, the veteran signal caller shared with Marty Smith his love for golf.

“We joined a house about an hour south of my hometown,” Cousins said. “I’d play, walk the course. I’d say to my wife, this was the best thing I’ll do all summer, but I can’t rationalize the hour drive there. What I want is to be able to walk the fairway with my boss for the rest of our lives and just spend time together.”
Now, the new face of the Falcons is taking in another staple of Atlanta — the hometown Braves. According to 92.9’s Caleb Johnson, Kirk Cousins will throw out the first pitch of the Braves’ Sunday game against the Rangers.

Cousins has spoken about his fascination with Atlanta sports, specifically the Braves and Hawks, because of the time he’s spent in Georgia with his wife’s family, who still reside in the metro area.
It’s good to see the Falcons new quarterback taking in all the city and state have to offer, as well as the community welcoming him with open arms. Hopefully, the cheers continue with victories on Sundays in the fall.
The city will forever love Cousins if he can deliver some success for the Falcons, especially a Super Bowl.
