The 27-year-old former New Orleans Saint played pretty well after coming into Atlanta on a “prove it” contract with a wide-open defensive tackle spot next to All-Pro Grady Jarrett. He was effective in the run game, and you have to think Atlanta is getting him on a bargain if they’re locking him up with their limited cap space. This also throws a major wrench into the upcoming draft, Falcons fans have been begging for Javon Kinlaw, and this move could potentially take Atlanta out of the running for his services as a first-round pick, but that’s merely speculation. We’ll update you on the details of Davison’s contract as they become available.
