The Falcons have added some competition for punter Cam Nizialek and have released some interior offensive line depth in the form of Bryan Witzmann.
We have signed P Dustin Colquitt to the practice squad and released OL Bryan Witzmann from the practice squad.

This may indicate the Falcons are not moving on from Nizialek just yet, but they are keeping a security blanket on the practice squad with the two-time Pro Bowler Colquitt. In addition, the Falcons worked out the speedy John Brown.

I think John Brown would be a very welcome addition; the Falcons don’t have a home run threat on the roster that matches up with the speed of Brown. Russell Gage was dinged up at the end of the Tampa Bay game and still playing, which speaks to the lack of depth the Falcons have at the position. Injuries have hampered Brown, but he started in eight games last year, collecting 458 yards on 33 catches with three touchdowns. I don’t see what adding him could hurt at this point.
