Atlanta’s long snapper, Liam McCullough, was re-signed to a four-year contract, the Falcons announced on Thursday.
Outside of reserve/future contracts, this was the first roster move of the Falcons offseason, and while it might not catch many eyes, it’s important. The 27-year-old has been with the club since 2022 and has played in 51 straight games with minimal recognition, which is a good thing for a long snapper. He rarely mis-snaps on field goals and punts while being more than fine in punt coverage. Coming out of Ohio State in 2020, McCullough has carved out a nice little career for himself.
This is a much-deserved contract extension. Congratulations, Liam McCullough.
