The Falcons don’t have a ton of holes on their roster, which is night and day from the previous five seasons. They’ve shored up one of their weaker spots, adding former Tennessee Titan Andre Smith:

Andre Smith wasn’t in Tennessee when Head Coach Arthur Smith was calling plays, but Arthur Smith still has a lot of intel in the building. Additionally, Andre went to North Carolina, where Arthur played and coached in the early 2000s. Their names are also frustratingly similar for the purposes of writing this article.
The Falcons are still a bit thin at linebacker, and Andre Smith could provide some quality depth. He has mostly been a rotational piece and a journeyman, but the Falcons need that type of body in the building heading into camp. He isn’t guaranteed a roster spot, but it’s clear that Atlanta is still looking to build up their defense by getting multiple competent players.
