After a disappointing loss to the Panthers in Week 8, the Falcons made a flurry of roster moves ahead of their Week 9 matchup with the New Orleans Saints.

Most notably, they added speedy receiver Marvin Hall to the practice squad, who previously spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons with the Falcons. Most recently, he racked up 291 receiving yards in 11 games with the Lions last season — the most productive receiving output of his career. Hall adds depth to a receivers room that is severely lacking now that Calvin Ridley has taken some time away for mental health purposes.
The Falcons also added linebackers Daren Bates and James Vaughters to the active roster. In a corresponding move, Dorian Etheridge has been released.
