Falcons: Lorenzo Carter finds a new home in free agency

The Falcons have had a fondness for Lorenzo Carter, even though he never contributed much during his time in Atlanta.

The third-round pick out of Georgia spent the first few seasons of his career with the Giants before returning home to Atlanta for three seasons, beginning in 2022. Across those three years, Carter totaled just seven sacks, including none this past season.

Instead of bringing him back, the Falcons decided to roll with Arnold Ebiketie, Bralen Trice, and DeAngelo Malone while also signing Leonard Floyd, but Carter has landed on his feet, signing with the Titans.

Tennesee fans shouldn’t expect much to change now that he’s switched jerseys. He’s a fine rotational piece and contributes in the run game, but Lorenzo Carter is never going to be a high-sack guy.
